Wayne Dalton, a builder favorite, is back at the International Builders’ Show (IBS) with garage doors that adorn the home of the future. The KB Home ProjeKt: Where Tomorrow Lives show home is a joint venture between BUILDER Magazine and KB Home, one of the nation’s largest single family homebuilders, that merges smart technology with everyday healthy living. Features of the home include powerful air filtration systems to remove harmful air pollutants, a living garden wall to access fresh food and lighting synced to the body’s internal clock to create an energizing environment for morning or a calming one for the evening. Three Wayne Dalton Model 9605 Classic Steel garage doors powered by a Genie Model 3120 opener, the company’s first professional line opener to offer integrated Wi-Fi connectivity, complete the exterior of the home.

“Forward-thinking ideas shape our world and a core principle behind our work at Wayne Dalton. Through our years of innovative design, we have celebrated recognition as a preferred, top-quality garage door brand. The KB Home ProjeKt is the home of tomorrow, and we are the garage door provider to match,” said said Wayne Dalton Vice President of Builder Sales Tim Matthews.

The KB Home ProjeKt features three of our Model 9605 garage doors with a Contemporary panel design that were custom finished in the field with Clear III vertical windows to allow for natural light and complement the home’s modern aesthetic.

Model 9605’s robust safety features include a pinch-resistant profile that pushes fingers out of harm’s way when the garage door is closing, a tamper-resistant safety bottom bracket and the TorqueMasterⓇ Plus counterbalance system designed to help prevent injury by safely containing the spring inside a steel tube. Additional performance capabilities include a bottom weather seal to help block draft and debris from entering the garage, hurricane-level center hinges and horizontal integral struts at the top and bottom of each door section which add rigidity and strength for an extended life cycle and smooth operation.

The Model 3120 Genie opener offers integrated Wi-Fi connectivity through its award-winning Aladdin Connect system that allows homeowners to monitor and control their garage doors via a smart device from nearly anywhere.

The home is located a short distance from the Las Vegas strip in Inspirada, one of the bestselling master-planned communities in the U.S. To learn more, visit KBHomeProjekt.com.
