FireStar™ Rolling Steel Fire Door Officially Launched

Wayne-Dalton announces the revolutionary FireStar™ Rolling Steel Fire Door. This design sets new benchmarks in the rolling door industry, including auto-reset as a standard integrated feature, along with quick-installation, safety, standardization, and reliability.

Significant improvements include:
1. Auto-reset is a standard feature and not an add-on option.
2. Cable is now routed to just one end of the door.
3. Spring tension is not released during testing, so just resetting the handle allows the door to be in service within seconds.
4. Easy installation - reduced by 1 - 1.5 hours per door.
5. Drop mechanism is pre-assembled to the end bracket so that there are fewer parts to install.
6. Viscous governor is used for much quieter and smoother drop testing.
7. One standard differential mechanism is utilized for all sizes, instead of the way label size and oversized mechanisms are used on Akbar 89.
8. For motor operators, the limits are maintained during drop testing.
