The awards, which were for garage doors and garage door openers, were given based on pioneering break-throughs the company has achieved in each area. Judges looked at product designs that Wayne-Dalton has developed to make their decision, including award-winning pinch resistant doors and enclosed TorqueMaster spring systems. The recent launch of their new idrive opener for torsion springs, which is the only wall-mounted opener of its kind, solidified first place for openers. Together, the door and opener are designed as a complete, extremely safe garage door system, an industry exclusive.
